how does a letter press work exactly? i love these images, so beautiful! hope you don't mind that i started following your blog
Hi Becky! The letterpress is a super old timey way of making prints with old type, cut linoleum, woodcuts... The image block stays stationary and you crank rollers which simultaneously inks the block and rolls the paper over the block to get your image. You get embossed images because of the pressure from the press...not many of the presses exist anymore as it is a totally outdated way of doing things... Hope this helped. Cheers!!
